But it was something we discussed toward the end that stayed with me: In this era of massive upheaval — the unemployed or underemployed, condo market’s crash, the commercial market’s crash, the arts community reeling, restaurants and diners confronting high costs, etc, etc — D.C. needs to rebuild. That task falls to JLG.
With a shrinking federal government, D.C. needs to reinvent itself. It’s what Paul called “D.C.’s identity crisis.”
